MTO-approved Online Beginner Driver Education (BDE) Curriculum offers an alternative method of delivery for the 20 hours of in-classroom training, using digital features and capabilities of a Learning Management System (LMS); in addition to the current 10 hours of flexible digital instructions. Flexible learning complements the course's core 20 hours. This is not an elimination of the current in-class delivery; instead, it is an additional/optional method of delivery. Our mission is to equip driving schools with that capability, starting with a simpler, faster, and better delivery of Beginner Driver Education across the province by moving to the "digital age".
